Hello, I'm James N. Hunter, a Canadian wildlife and nature photographer.

When you combine birds, plants, insects, wildlife, trees, rivers, lakes, oceans, mountains and stars with rain, wind, sun and snow, there's always an interesting visual story waiting to be told. 

My definition of joy is being able to head outdoors with my camera on a new voyage of visual discovery. 

When a woodpecker suddenly appears out of nowhere and starts tapping away on a tree, or a wildflower sways in the wind with a pollinating passenger stuck to it, it can’t get much better than that.
